Under funding from the US Department of State a regional workshop was conducted with coordination support from Reef Check Dominican Republic. The workshop gathered 18 participants from 6 countries in the region.
Representatives from government agencies, scientific institutions, enforcement institutions, NGOs and natural resource trustees made up the group. A summary of the workshop will be posted shortly. For the full workshop evaluation compiled from participant feedback, please click here.
As participants take their newly learned skills and techniques from the CSI training workshop back to their home countries, we hope to feature how they are being applied in support of improved investigation and enforcement around coral reefs. This information will follow shortly.
The CSI Newsletter is linking participants from the workshops and providing updates on what's new in the field, upcoming events and opportunities, and new ideas and innovative technologies that could add to the effectiveness of the toolkits. The first newsletter has just been released.
